The Australian sharemarket fell slightly today as disappointing overnight leads caused hesitation in the market.
At 2.30pm, the ASX 200 was down 0.06% to 4204.3 and the broader All Ordinaries index fell 0.1% to 4234.2.
The dollar is on course to notch its 10th consecutive weekly advance against the euro, buying 85.17 euro cents. The dollar also hit a six-week high against the greenback at noon and was buying $US1.0409 late in the afternoon.
