Power Players always know to get it down on paper. If it isn’t written down, forget about it.
There’s that great scene in Jerry Maguire where Jerry’s fiancé (played by Kelly Preston) says to Jerry “It’s not trust my handshake – it’s make the sale. Get it signed.”
That’s some of the best advice any Power Player can have.
When it really matters, get it down on paper. From a contract to an instruction manual for the new kids, don’t assume people get it.
When Power Players make big plays, they make sure it’s written down somewhere. A record of events, if nothing else…
It’s like those people who talk about having a great screenplay inside them.
Power Players don’t talk about the screenplay – they get it down and then go sell it. If it matters, always write it down.
