Groupon makes interim chief executive permanent

Daily deal retail site Groupon has named Eric Lefkofsky, who became its interim chief executive in February, as its new permanent chief executive.

According to Reuters, the company also reported quarterly revenue of $US608.7 million compared with $US568.3 million a year ago.

The former chief executive, Andrew Mason, was fired following the company’s December quarter loss, and later issued a letter saying he was “okay with having failed”.
