Google users experienced a series of overnight outages on key services, including Gmail and Google Drive.
According to Reuters, some users also claim to have experienced disruptions with other Google services, including Google Docs, while others experienced unexpected crashes in Google Chrome.
“We are currently experiencing an issue with some Google services,” Google spokesperson Andrea Freund stated.
“For everyone who is affected, we apologize for any inconvenience you may be experiencing.”
While the issues appear to have been resolved, the outage highlights one of the risks of relying on cloud-based storage and apps, even from large providers such as Google.
