Google’s Motorola smartphone subsidiary has launched three new RAZR handsets on the same day Nokia and Microsoft announced its new Nokia Lumia 820 and 920 smartphones, with the smartphone giant emphasising battery life and bezel-free screens.
According to Gizmodo, the three new smartphones – the Droid RAZR M, Droid RAZR HD and Droid RAZR MAXX – will all feature Google’s Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone platform, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, Gorilla Glass 2 and a bezel-free display covering the entire front of the phone.
Going on sale through Verizon Wireless in the US next week, the low-end 4.3 inch Droid RAZR M will be available for $US99 on contract after rebate.
The mid-range Droid RAZR HD will include Chrome for Android pre-installed, a 4.7 inch display and 4G LTE compatibility. The company claims 10 hours battery life for the device.
The flagship of the range, the Droid RAZR MAXX HD, includes NFC mobile wallet support, with the company claiming up to 13 hours of battery life for the device.
Pricing and availability details for the Droid RAZR HD and Droid RAZR MAXX HD have not yet been released.
