Motorola jobs may be gone after Google buy

More jobs may be scrapped from Motorola Mobility following the company’s acquisition by Google, a new report has claimed.

The rumour comes after China agreed to Google’s move to buy the mobile company.

TechCrunch has reported that layoffs will affect Motorola soon, even after the company shed 800 jobs in a recent cull.

The publication points to Google’s purchase of DoubleClick, which scrapped 40% of its 1,600 employees due to a purchase agreement.

Currently, Motorola Mobility has 19,000 employees, although it has continually gone through new restructure plans.
