Security researchers have discovered a bug in iOS which allows malicious apps to copy a users’ entire photo library to a remote location without ever getting permission.
According to the New York Times, any application in iOS that you allow to have access to your location information also gains full access to your entire photo library without needing a users’ permission.
Because photos and videos are tagged with location data by default, any malware taking advantage of this loophole also gains access to a users’ location history without permission.
The latest news comes after it was recently revealed that some apps were copying users’ address books without permission.
