Apple launches iTunes Match service

Apple has finally launched its iTunes Match service which allows users to back up their music in the cloud and download higher-quality versions of the music they already own.

The launch comes after a delay of a few weeks, as Apple worked to make everything ready for the launch.

The service was originally announced earlier this year, as part of the overall iCloud suite. Users will be able to download music they own on iOS device, whereas previously they would have to either sync each device individually or buy it again.

Unfortunately, not all of the services are currently available in Australia. Different contracts with the record industry dictate that some features cannot be launched at the same time.
