Tech giant Samsung has hinted at more legal action against Apple, after head of global marketing for mobile communications told AP last week that “we’ll be pursuing our rights for this in a more aggressive way from now on”.
The comments come after both companies have faced off in both Europe and Australia over alleged patent infringements.
Lee stated that Apple is “free riding” on wireless patents. “We’ve been quite respectful and also passive in a way” Lee said. “However, we shouldn’t be … anymore.”
The Galaxy tablet launch was delayed in Australia after a court battle between the two companies. Apple alleges that Samsung has infringed some of its own patents.
