Hot on the heels of its updated iPod announcement last month, rumours are alive on the internet that Apple will unveil its upgraded MacBook at a special event on 14 October.
The Apple Insider website last week reported new MacBooks have been seen, and they allegedly boast new aluminum cases like the iMac and MacBook Air products. This would mean a departure from previous designs, with the MacBook the only Apple product to boast a different look from other devices.
Calls for an update to the MacBook line have been alive for months, with many bloggers saying the look is old and needs a re-boot.
The new Macs also apparently boast updated Firewire and DVI capabilities.
