A new report indicates that the upcoming MacBook Air models may feature 400MBs of flash storage, resulting in a significant speed improvement over the current models.
According to 9to5Mac, the devices, which are expected to be released within the next few weeks, may feature NAND chips soldered directly onto the MacBook’s motherboard.
Such a configuration would see a significant improvement in speed, according to the Asian manufacturers quoted in the story.
The new computers are set to launch on the same day as the Lion operating system update.
