The big blue “Rover” grooming trailer is the distinctive feature of all Hydrodog franchisees. See founder Martin Rose talk about the gestation and growth of the business.
A business that was always pitched to appeal to everyone and anyone, Hydrodog started life as a simple dog wash service by two brothers in Queensland in 1994.
The franchised service has grown to have over 140 franchises across Australia, and today turns over more than $9 million a year.
The very distinctive big blue grooming salon, nicknamed Rover, is a very visible roving advertisement for the firm; one that literally stops traffic. To be a Hydrodog franchisee you need to be comfortable dealing with man’s best friend.
