A new report from AppleInsider claims the next iPhone and iPad will feature a dual-core graphics processing unit.
The claim is the latest in a range of rumours and tips about the second version of the iPad, which is said to be merely weeks away from release.
The new rumour suggests the iPad and iPhone will feature a newer version of the A4 chip with a dual-core graphics processing unit which should allow for 1080p playback.
The chip is said to be manufactured by Imagination Technologies. The rumour also sits alongside others that suggest the newest version of the gadget will feature a high-resolution screen.
The rumour also comes after separate stories have suggested the iPhone 5 will feature a dual-core processing unit.
