Technology company Panasonic is set to launch back into the gaming space after a 15-year break, launching a new hand-held gaming device that has been tentatively entitled The Jungle.
According to Techcrunch, Panasonic will also launch a new gaming services called Panasonic Cloud Entertainment, with content and games to be delivered through the “cloud”.
So far, only one game has been confirmed – Battlestar Galactica Online.
Exactly when the device and service is to be launched is not yet known, and there are scant details on the company’s website.
The current leaders in the space include Nintendo and Apple, through the iPhone.
