Tech giant Apple has reminded customers on its website that the free case program designed as compensation for the iPhone 4 antenna problem will end on September 30.
It also said the iPhone antenna issue is smaller than it originally thought, reminding users that these issues appear in many other smartphones from a variety of manufacturers.
“We now know that the iPhone 4 antenna attenuation issue is even smaller than we originally thought,” the company said. “A small percentage of iPhone 4 users need a case and we want to continue providing them a Bumper case for free.”
The announcement comes as the company prepares to roll out new iPods and a new Apple TV product later this month.
