Security firm Adobe has released new software updates for its Acrobat and Reader programs, fixing multiple security vulnerabilities the company said were “critical”.
The weaknesses allow users to possibly executive a piece of code contained in a TrueType font, with another update also delivering further security for the “social engineering” flaw addressed in June.
That particular vulnerability was highlighted as possibly being able to open a malicious object without a user’s consent.
The downloads will be rolled out using the “Check for Update” commands, with the Reader installer to be updated by the end of the month.
