American clothing chain Gap has confirmed it will open its first store in the Melbourne Chadstone Shopping Centre in August.
The announcement comes after a previous release earlier this year, when the company said it would open a number of Australian stores.
The Melbourne store will measure 1,200 square metres, with a second store to open in Westfield Sydney before the end of October.
“We are truly excited to partner with Gap to bring the brand to Australia. Our consumers will appreciate the style and accessibility that Gap offers. We are confident that Gap will be a unique and unprecedented retail experience they’ll love,” YC Eu, group marketing manager of Busby Holdings said in a statement.
The company said the Melbourne store will host products under all three of its Gap, GapKids and BabyGap brands.
