Software giant Microsoft has launched the Office 2010 suite to corporate customers, with business division president Stephen Elop unveiling the software at a special event in New York.
Additionally, Microsoft has also launched an internet-based version of Office called Office Web, designed as a rival to Google’s cloud-based feature, Google Documents.
Also, Microsoft will release new versions of the Office software for mobile phones. Designed for Windows Mobile-based phones, the Office mobile versions will be released later this year.
Office 2010 has been designed around collaboration, the company said. Several of the new features include the ability to edit photos and videos within Word and PowerPoint, along with the ability to actually broadcast slides over the internet.
