Recently, I shared a little trick that allows you to run apps for Mozilla’s Firefox OS smartphone apps on your desktop computer.
It’s a feature mostly designed for mobile app developers who want to create or test Firefox OS apps.
However, if your business has a mobile website, it’s a feature that comes in handy in a very different reason.
After installing the Firefox OS simulator plug-in (here’s the instructions), click the “Firefox OS Simulator” option under Web Developer in Firefox:
Then click the Simulator Stopped button to start the simulator:
Now just hit the blue button at the bottom of your simulator:
And there it is – the mobile version of Firefox, running within the desktop version of Firefox. It’s a handy way to keep an eye on your mobile site while you update it on your desktop computer:
