A new smartphone cover promises to protect people who find themselves alone and scared in dangerous situations.
In addition to protecting the user’s phone from scratches and dings, the Coyote Case can protect them from potential assailants by emitting a loud siren when activated.
An emergency text message, complete with the user’s GPS coordinates, is then sent to their emergency contacts. There is also a stealth mode that sends the SOS message without the siren.
“Coyote Case is ideal for kids, college students – especially women – and their concerned parents,” say the creators, who are raising funds on crowdfunding website Indiegogo.
“It is also great for city dwellers, young professionals and travelers including those who travel by air.”
“For outdoor lovers, it’s a convenient way to enjoy a long walk, run, hike, ride or other pursuit with portable protection.”
“It also offers greater peace of mind for those in disaster prone areas, those with a chronic health condition or the elderly who desire greater independence.”
Are there any other ways you could put people’s minds at ease while they’re out and about?
