Handset manufacturer Palm has hired another former Apple employee, as it announced that Jeff Zwerner will take the position as senior vice president of brand design.
Zwerner previously worked as senior art director and creative director of packaging for Apple, and has also worked with Hewlett-Packard, Coca-Cola and Disney.
Palm’s chief executive Jon Rubinstein has previously worked at Apple as head of the iPod division, while the company’s senior vice president of product development and public relations head have also worked with Apple.
Board member Fred Anderson was also employed at Apple.
Palm has attempted to market itself as an alternative to Apple with its Palm Pre device, but hasn’t managed to catch up yet. It is currently in a battle with Apple over the ability to “sync” its Pre device with the iTunes software.
